Isador took Elorwin's hand in his own, feeling a great sadness with her suffering. Her skin was cold to the touch, not suprising after the ordeal she'd been through. When Elorwin had drifted to a half sleep he went to put her hand down again before freezing. His instincts had told him something was wrong and it was a few moments before he realised what, Elorwin's body temperature was dropping rapidly. Too fast, if it carried on like this then she would die. Reacting quickly Isador ran to a locked cupboard, not even getting his keys, he smashed it open and grabbed a handful of different bottles, rushing back to Elrowin he set them down on the table. There's so much to do, I need to restore her breathing, restore her body temp, get her organs working again and remove all infections, AND i have her yokai blood working against me. Isador took a deep breath, calmed himself, and went to work, his hands acting with unbelievable speed. He grabbed one of the bottles which had been prepared by the healers who had magic potential, opened it and poured it down Elorwin's throat, this would keep her lungs working automatically which would keep her breathing at least a little while longer. Quickly discarding the bottle he picked up a second and opened it, revealing a glowing orange liquid, he closed his eyes and muttered a few words causing the liquids glow to become brighter than anything else in the room. He upended the bottle over Elorwin, still chanting, and the liquid slowly descended, expanding as it fell until it covered her entire body, the glow grew even more intense for the briefest of seconds until it faded into her body. A quick check revealed that Elorwin's temperature was at least steady.
If things go on like this, then there won't be anything that can be done. One wrong move and this young lady dies.
Isador muttered a curse as he worked, taking out a sterile pad he dipped it in some sterilizer and wiped along Elorwin's slide, then he took out a blade and made an incision four inches long. Putting on a rubber glove Isador doused his hand in a third grey paste and entered Elorwin's body with it, using his knowledge of Organ's and working out whch of Elorwin's were failing, he guided his hand to them, smearing on the paste that would keep them functional until their own body could support them.
Isador quickly glanced at Elorwin's face, at least through all this the anaesthetic was working, her face was calm and peaceful, but her skin was pale and her lips were blue.
"Gods be damned!" He exclaimed, He eyed a bottle on the table for a few moments, finally he sighed and picked it up, he had hoped it wouldn't come to this.
In this bottle was a liquid conjered up the by the last archmage, it would turn a half yokai into a full human temporarily, though how long depended on each individual. Isador knew it was Elorwin's Yokai blood slowing her healing, human medicines usually had an adverse effect on the yokai.
"I'm so sorry," He muttered as he emptied the bottle in Elorwin's mouth. However the changes were immediate. Warmth surged through her body and her heart started beating stronger. However the battle was far from over. Empty bottles were littering the floor but still Isador went for more. He'd already covered Elorwin's incision with the thick paste and it was starting to heal nicely. Now it was all external work that had to be done, easier, but just as deadly if gotten wrong. He opened three bottles at once, taking some out of each and mixing them, then smearing some on Elorwin's forehead, abdomen and feet, the three vital points of the body. This paste would seep along the skin and veins and connect the body, showing the blood and nerves the paths that were still available. Discarding those bottles he opened up the final one of the lot and was about to apply it when Elorwin suddenly went cold again.
"WHAT? NO! NO NO NO!" He cried out, carrying out every kind of test to figure out what was going on. It wasn't until he saw the fangs did he realise that Elorwin's blood was fighting the mixture. "This shouldn't be, the only thing that can keep yokai blood stable at the moment is a limiter, but she was in yokai form, she can't have one." He then spotted the cracked earing on her ear and quickly went for it, but was stopped by a clawed hand. He looked down into empty eyes, it seemed the yokai in Elorwin was determined to stay. He reached with his other hand but that was stopped too, and try as he might he couldn't break free of her grip. "Let go you fool! If i don't do this you'll DIE!" As he struggled, Isador was hit with one more idea. He leant forward, trying to get as close to her ear as possible.
"just, a bit, more... THERE!" He grabbed the earring with his teeth and the next thing he knew he was flung to the side, a white hot pain on the side of his head as his ear was bitten off. The last sight he saw before losing consciousness was Elorwin returning to normal.
"I can... only... hope...." was all he managed before falling unconcsious
