A baby. Five hours later and he still wasn't used to the idea. Would it be a girl? Or would they have a boy? And what if something happened to the baby and there was a miscarriage? Rouichi didn't even want to think about that. It was actually a surprise that Fei Lin hadn't ended up pregnant before now, now that he thought about it. They had been together for so long - how had it not happened? Was there something wrong with him or her? His head was spinning with all of the questions. Too many questions, he thought grimly. There was too much to think about! Too much to do! Kosakiu had been even more excited about the baby than Fei had been, he had certainly been no help at all for sorting Rou's head out. There was only so much he could listen to about baby planning in one afternoon. He was readily sick of it all already. Who cared what color the nursery was painted, why couldn't it stay the same?!
There was only one thing for it. He had to go and get himself completely and totally drunk. And of course there was only one way to do it - with friends. He hadn't told Sai yet and he had assumed Korin hadn't either, given that the librarian was still working late. He didn't know how well his friend would take the news and partially didn't care, as long as Rou could get into his sake cabinet.
"Sai?" he called, opening the door to the Grand Advisor's Aide's room without knocking. It was a habit carried over from the time he'd spent temporarily living there. He didn't think he'd ever be able to knock again.
