Physical Description:
Powers/Skills: Miyu is a master of the shinigami fighting style known as zanjutsu. The art of zanjutsu is the art of wielding the shinigami's signature weapon, the zanpaku-to, skillfully and mastering the spiritual blade's secrets. Miyu, having fully subjugated her own zanpaku-to, has achieved about all she can from her weapon; shikai and bankai. It has taken her many years to fully master her weapon, known as Asa Fenikkusu ((Morning Phoenix)). In it's sealed state, Asa Fenikkusu is a simple katana with white wraps on the tsuka and a rectangle shaped tsuba. The scabbard is crimson in color and the blade is steel colored with a black midareba finish. When given the command, "Flare up", the blade splits into three separate blades on the same tsuka. While in it's shikai state, Asa Fenikkusu is a fire type zanpaku-to, meaning that it utilizes flames to strike at the opponent. The flames materialize whenever it is swung, usually appearing as a trail left behind by the blades. Also while in this form Miyu can use the ability "Maedate no Honno", which causes a moderately sized jet of flame to shoot out from the blades. Asa Fenikkusu's bankai, Mochuu Fenikkusu, is much more impressive then it's shikai state. In this form, the zanpaku-to has three stages: life, death, and rebirth. In the life stage of the bankai, Miyu's three bladed katana takes the form of a spear with a flaming blade resembling a phoenix's wing and can use the ability "Cry of the Phoenix". To use that ability Miyu must stab the ground with her weapon and say the techniques name, then the area around Miyu and her opponent will erupt in geysers of white flame. This technique sets up a the second stage of her bankai: the death stage. After using the Cry of the Phoenix technique, the flames surrounding the spear blade fade away, leaving it appearing to be a simple spear and nothing more. It this then, and only then, can Miyu use the technique called Song of Ending. This technique causes the sky to rain down balls of fire upon her opponents in a complete downpour. The Song of Ending has a price for it's immense power: once the technique is initiated, Asa Mochuu is reduced to it's sealed state through the rebirth stage. On an interesting note, Miyu has yet to fully control the damage out put of the Song of Ending and that means she can only do it once every few days.
Background: Tatsufujin Miyu is pretty much your average girl, despite the fact that she is really from the spirit world. Within the ranks of the shinigami, Miyu's skills at zanjutsu have placed her as an instructor in said style at a very young age. In recent events, she was called by the headmaster of the spirit world's academy to investigate the case of a young shinigami with a vague idea of what he actually was. Well aware that there were others like her in the human world and, more importantly, in the company of her new student, Miyu agreed to accept this mission reluctantly; no doubt her lazy, irritated nature coming into play with her decision making.
With this mission given to her, Miyu set out for the Sakura Kingdom in which this shinigami lived; praying that they would be an easy person to teach and not some bumbling, overly nice kid. She packed lightly; only some clothes that she could wear to blend in with the average people of this world and her trusty Zanpaku-to. Dressed as a simple miko, she managed to find the city of Erion in which this Fuyuki Ichisomething was supposed to be living in. Money was not something she had thought about, so she arrived hungry, tired, and filthsome. After wandering around for almost a full day, she came upon the shrine she was to be staying at as a dedicated miko to Homura, the War God. After a bath, fresh clothing, and a simple meal of rice, Miyu set herself up at the shrine, still planning on how to find this shinigami who's name she only remembered in pieces.
