Although traditionally communal, the Erion Palace baths have evolved into something far more hierarchical. They are generally large, but segregated according to position. They are pumped with a constant supply of clean, heated water, and are available to all Palace inhabitants. However, many of the nobles, particularly the Ten Great Lords, have their own baths in their quarters.

The largest baths are those for the Army and the Palace servants, and are simply designed, featuring huge central sunken baths, and long tracks of running water and buckets around the edges in which to wash before soaking in the very hot water of the bath. Both are impressively large, and have capacity for up to a few hundred people at a time. The baths building also houses a series of smaller private bathing rooms, intended for nobles - however, these baths are still large enough to hold a number of people. They are purportedly beautifully decorated with paintings to amuse the bathers. The mendost magnificent of the baths, which very few have laid eyes on, are the private state baths of the Emperor. He rarely descends there, however, preferring the privacy of the bath in his own chambers. According to rumour, the entire interior, including the tiles of the bath, is made of gold. Only the Emperor's concubines and most trusted officials are permitted to step inside.
