This healers band is either a strip of green cloth with the symbol of the Healer Hall on it in white, or a pendent with that same symbol. Each Healer Hall symbol is unique to its region, but all retain the basic shape and design of a caduceus: that of a winged staff with a pair of ribbons intertwining.
Erion Healer Hall symbol:
Healer ranks:
Master Healer: The Master Healer is a person who has studied and mastered all forms of healing, from setting bones to things such as dentistry and optometry. This person is the Head of a Healer Hall, and commands and organizes all other Healers within his jurisdiction. There can only be one Master Healer per region.
Masters Second: The Masters Second is the equivalent to the Master Healers Aid and right hand man. He is well versed in most healing arts and masters in his particular specialization. He does not act as a secretary, but does take on some of the Master Healers paperwork, such as sorting and signing reports and inventories. Unless reporting to the Master Healer, or obeying a command from him, Healers should come to and obey the Masters Second.
Senior Healer: A healer who has mastered one particular section of healing and has considerable experience in it. They will often teach an Apprentice Healer through the course of their profession.
Healer: A healer who has graduated from Apprentice and has extensive knowledge and experience in the field. A Healer may or may not continue to receive guidance and help from their Senior Healers, but will often spend time furthering their knowledge in their section. The majority of Healer Halls consist of these types of healers.
Apprentice Healer: A student studying the art of healing. They are constantly being taught by Senior Healers in their chosen aspect of the Healing craft and must undergo years of tutoring and study before they can even touch a living person. This is the most rigorous time for a healer, as when they are not studying they are standing back and watching as their teacher works on patients, often lectured through such procedures and made to answer questions until it becomes second nature. An Apprentice Healer rarely has free time. The usual length of Apprenticeship lasts six years but is not fixed, and can be shorter or longer depending on the skill of the pupil. The absolute minimum amount of time a healer must spend as an apprentice is four years.

The Healers Oath:
I will be ethical in my life as a healer. I will treat people who seek my help as people and never just as patients. I will ensure that my help comes free of cost of purse or dignity, and will offer it to all people, never distinguishing between rank and class. I will not abuse or solicit my abilities against or to those who need them.
I will maintain my dignity and uphold the dignity of my Hall in all my dealings with my teachers, my fellow healers, and with the public.
I will seek to recognize my limitations, and will strive to work within them. I will do what I can, when I can, without delay or prejudice against my fellows in order to preserve life. But above all, I swear to use my knowledge peaceably and will do no harm against my fellow man, for as long as I have breath in my body.
This I vow before God and Man.
